Debate Auditions

Part 1
Well, finally as suggested by Head of Operations, I join in Debate Competition as a replacement.

Tadinya sih ragu mau ikutin saran sekalian nantang diri apa gak. Toh, saya gak merasa jago debat dan mau terlibat dalam event debat apapun.
Gak paham gimana gunain skill saya di dalam team debat ini. Tapi agak tenang saat dikatakan: "Debat bukan tentang menyanggah atau mematahkan pendapat lawan, tapi bagaimana menyampaikan pendapat yang menurut kita benar dan dapat membuat lawan paham dengan perspektif kita sehingga lawan menerima pendapat kita."
Kalo bagian menyampaikan pendapat yang menurut kita benar sih saya bisa. Sisanya, team yang backup-lah ya. 😜

Jadilah ini kali pertama saya ikut audisi event apapun dan bisa dapat Golden Ticket dalam suatu audisi event apapun.
Suatu hal yang belum pernah saya lakukan dalam hidup.

Part 2
Ada hal lain yang saya rasakan dari pengalaman audisi debat ini.
Selain mengikuti audisi adalah hal yang belum pernah saya lakukan, demikian audisi DEBAT pun adalah hal yang belum pernah saya lakukan. Tak pernah terpikir juga bakal ikut gini-ginian.
Yeah, my life too flat... often.

Hahaha...
Doing things you never did before feels great, doesn't matter what the result will bring.

Another thing is, sangat menyenangkan -- tentu saja, saat seseorang bisa melihat dan mengakui suatu kemampuan yang gak pernah kita sadari yang juga gak semua orang bisa lihat itu.
Perspektif. Saya maklumi bahwa setiap orang punya kemampuan dan pandangannya masing-masing terhadap sesuatu hal apapun itu. Dan itu wajar.

Yang kemudian pandangan positif terhadap dirilah yang membuat saya memiliki kepercayaan diri lagi bahwa saya masih memiliki kemampuan lain yang bisa di-explore dan menjadi diri yang terbaik (be myself best) dari kemampuan tersebut. Belakangan memang sedang merasa powerless sekali, seperti gak ada hal lagi yang saya bisa good at and make best of myself. Glad that it (the positive view) comes eventually.

I might too overwhelm on this. But, the matter is this has different meaning to me and my life. Ya, seberkesan itu.

Keep the spirit up. Some people might not know you worth, but believe me there is some other people know you worth.

March Birthday Celebration

Birthday Greetings

The invitation to the event called “March Birthday Celebration” was received. I accept the invitation, seeing on the reception mail invitation there will be attended by bosses. This is the first time I receive any kind of such invitation, make me curios about the event.

Until the day is coming, I found out what the event all about. 😊
I’m so happy they made this event, gathering those who had birthday on March. Bosses ask us several questions, much more like share our most memorable birthday moment or any kind that really matters to our life. Well, sometimes sharing perspective work-related in between, hahaha…
But, that was fine. We can share our thoughts.
Talking like a friends. Informal meeting. We’re just people gather around celebrate whose had birthday on March. 
That was fun. I had fun. 😊

I named the attendees just to remind me and keep the moment memorable.

Not attend:

- Mba Bakti Amalia (the birthday girl, my former boss)

She was on survey to Anyer for our up coming offsite meeting.

Now, telling what was the memorable moment from the event that I won’t forget. 
Each person given chances too share their moments. The facilitator, who held the event, ask us some questions. We share our stories. 
Each of us got different questions depends on what flow on the chat. So, there more likely friendly chat. They ask about our memorable birthday moment then leas anywhere chat was going. 



Mine?

Pak Mujur questions most related to relationship but I can’t share that kind of stories apalagi ke boss. So I skipped his question about it, hehehe…

It was nice to had a chance chatting with him actually. Someone that I see as a “smart person”. Makanya agak-agak ngeri gue takut salah ngomong.

Pak Choky, asked about outing most memorable moment, opinion, inputs, and etc related to outing event. 

Bu Nina asked my hobby.



What yang mau diingat?
Pak mujur say that pemilihan kata gue bagus, sangat bagus malah. When he said that, I’m flattered. Katanya bagus buat debat trus disuruh ikut kompetisi debat yang diadain di ANZ.
Jaaaah….

Katanya feedback gue bagus logic. Katanya debat bukan tentang bisa mematahkan pendapat tapi juga bisa membuat orang menerima pendapat kita. 



Next year they held this event again asking me what is my most memorable birthday moment. I can tell them this one is. 😊
